Holiday Treat Ideas

Christmas is only a few weeks away and I thought what better time to share treat recipes with you than right now. Theses recipes are super simple to make and I have made them for several customers. I have gotten great responses from the pets on how tasty they are so I wanted to share the best ones with you.

Recipe #1: Frozen Banana Cat Treats
Ingredients
1 Banana
Cat Milk
Small bag of Cat treats
Ice Trays
Mix your banana and cat milk together in a bowl. Set aside and take the cat treats (which these can be little treats that your cat already likes) and place one in the bottom of the trays. Take your banana/milk mixture and fill your trays. Place in the freezer over night and in the morning pop them out and serve. They are great for summer days and do great for those special treat days.

Recipe #2: Doggie Dipped Sticks
Ingredients
Raw Hide Sticks (appropriate size for your dog)
Yogurt (any flavor is fine but I prefer vanilla)
Peanut Butter
This is a super simple recipe and it is one of the favorites of my clients. Take one raw hide stick at a time and dip about half of it into the yogurt. Place the sticks onto a pan and place them into the freezer for 1-2 hours. Take the peanut butter and use about 2tbs and place into a microwave bowl. Microwave the peanut butter until it is nice and creamy. Take your sticks out of the freezer and take a spoon and drizzle the peanut butter over the rawhides. Then place the pan back into the freezer for another 30-45 minutes (just until the peanut butter is good and frozen). Take them out and place into a bag and give to your pets as needed. Keep in freezer till your ready to use.

Recipe #3 : Pumpkin Dog Biscuits
Ingredients
½ can Pumpkin puree
¼ cup Peanut butter
2 ½ cup Flour
2 eggs
Pinch of Salt
Set oven to 350 degrees. In a medium size bowl, whisk together your pumpkin puree, eggs, and peanut butter till good and creamy. Add flour and salt to wet ingredients. Mix until dough begins to form. Knead the dough into and ball and roll out onto counter. Cut treats into desired shapes and place unto a cookie sheet. Place cookie sheet into oven and bake for 20 minutes. Take cookies out and flip over and place sheet back into oven for another 20 minutes or until done. Take out and let cool down.

Recipe #4: Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits
Ingredients
2 cups Flour
½ cups Creamy Peanut Butter
2 Eggs
¼ Water
Set oven to 350 degrees. Mix together flour, peanut butter, and eggs in a large bowl. Add in a little bit of the water, until the mixture becomes wet enough to roll out as dough. Once your dough is good to roll out, then roll your dough and cut your desired shapes. Place treats on a cookie sheet and bake for roughly 15 minutes (or for a little crunch, bake till bottoms start to darken).

All of these recipes are so great and have been big hits around here. I for sure wanted to share them with you guys and I hope that you enjoy them. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas holiday and we cannot wait to make our next batch of treats for our amazing guests.
